Garden Delight

This Saturday on HBO, the captivating real life story centered around the inhabitants of the mythical Grey Gardens estate will make its much anticipated debut. The hype has no doubt been garnered from the publicity received from its high profile stars, Drew Barrymore who portrays the unpredictable Little Edie Beale and Jessica Lange who breathes life into Big Edie. This mother and daughter duo act also happened to be related to one of the most famous women in the world - Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. This fact only adds more layers to an already multifaceted story that spans decades and forces the two actresses to each age more than forty years. All the efforts definitely paid off and audiences will no doubt be drawn to the rise and fall of these two stunningly complicated characters. And perhaps in the process the haunting tone that has plagued Grey Gardens for years will be explained. Don't miss it on HBO this Saturday at 8pm.

A Classic Update

Lets face it clogs haven't always been regarded as fashion-forward items (even though I have always secretly lusted after them). I just loved the idea of pairing my deep navy wash wide leg jeans with a pair of striking red  clogs. But thanks to the Swedish Hasbeens, a company devoted to all things clogs and obviously Swedish, clogs are now in. The choices are endless. They come in a variety of colors, open toe, peep toe and of course closed.  The heel can be as high or as low as you desire. Picking out your perfect clogs has never been more gratifying! The price tag on these Swedish imports may force you to sacrifice your weekly yoga class, but one look at your new clogs will take all the pain away.

Random Cuties

There are so many choices out there when it comes to our beauty routine. But obviously some fare better than others. I couldn't resist gathering a few of my favorites to share for the upcoming luscious weather that will soon be upon us. The delicious looking colored confections are actually individual lip balms stored  cupcake compartments. They come in a pack of four in lip watering flavors including raspberry tart and chocolate cream puff. They retail for $10 at Urban Outfitters. Eau de Fleur Silk by Kenzo ($55), will not disappoint in the fragrance department. This favorite of mine is light and breezy as well as fruity and feminine. Its long lasting and its a scent that is bound to attract the right kind of attention! Finally for those of us on the go, it helps to have a starter kit that contains all the grooming essentials you need to keep that radiant glow despite your chaotic surroundings. Organics To Go ($45) is available at Sephora and it contains Cleansing Milk, Green Apple Peel, Sensitive, Antioxidant Serum, Hydrating Mist, Nutrient Moisturizer, and get this... an Eco-bamboo Washcloth. This would make a much appreciated gift for your over-worked friend or even better for you to pack into your gym bag or your over night travel bag.  So let the skin beautifying sessions begin!
