Red Carpet Dazzles As Oscar Arrivals Take Center Stage

The Oscars are here!! And the Red Carpet is simply glowing with the electrical current vibrating from the arrival of the STARS of film and television. It looks like everyone got the memo this year because it has been a stunning display so far. Even mommy-to-be Paula Patton refused to be left in the dust and wowed in her custom made orange faille gown by Carolina Herrera. Best Actress nominee Vera Farmiga stunned in her ruffled confection by Marchesa. The fuchsia color is absolutely delightful and despite all the elaborate details her waist still managed to dominate. If I had to imagine my dream gown for Hollywood's BIG NIGHT, it would be the one Sarah Jessica Parker sashayed in tonight! Her gown was beyond stunning! The pale yellow silk ensemble with the eye-popping embellished bodice by Chanel dazzles and stuns and leaves us breathless. Another Queen of the Night was Queen Latifah who certainly knows how to make an entrance in her sparkling sapphire confettied satin gown. She looked appropriately sexy. Actress Rachel McAdams deserves a shoutout for her gorgeous strapless Elie Saab gown, with its sweeping romantic flare. Best actress nominee Gabourey Sidibe definitely put her best foot forward and figure too with her stunning display of elegance in her cobalt blue off-the-shoulder gown by Marchesa. Avatar beauty Zoe Saldana proved her Runway prowness with her fashion foward Givenchy couture gown with its shimmering bodice and colorfully divine tulle skirted bottom. Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan has a level of sophistication that is unusual for a 24 year old, and it shows in her choice of her Swarovski slathered shiny black Prada gown. Its intricately perfected and compliments both her fair complexion and blonde hair. Acress Kate Winslet should be hailed as the Master of Ceremony because she knows how to get our attention and keep it. Her silk Yves Sain Laurent ensemble is just what Oscar ordered. It effortlessly shows off her flawless figure. Another Red Carpet goddess has to be Penelope Cruz who looked good enough to eat in her bordeaux duchess satin drapery by Donna Karan. Although slightly ill-fitting, its hard to criticize anything this Spanish bombshell shows up in. Best Actress nominee Sandra Bullock looks like she is enjoying her long deserved recognition and what a way to celebrate! She looked gorgeously angelic in her metallic and lace Marchesa gown. Her hair and bold makeup completed her look. Beloved actress Meryl Streep may not win the Oscar tonight, but she was certainly a winner on the red carpet. Known for her electic persuasions, she took it to another level in her stunningly steaming classic white gown by Chris March with the draped detail that showed off the right amount of sexiness to keep her and all of us happy. Latin Fever has reached a new high with La Lopez! Jennifer Lopez was breathtaking in her well sculptured Armani Prive silk organza gown from the Sprin 2010 collection. If this is what a mother of twins looks like then I guess there is hope for us all! Cameron Diaz also shimmered and glittered in her Oscar de la Renta gown. It was a very fetching and entertaining Red Carpet and a worthy way to end the award season.
