Trendy TV Report - Housewives No More

BRAVO is saying a final goodbye to the DC Houeswives. After a disasterous first season, the network has decided not to prolong the inevitable and announced the DC franchise will not be given another chance to torture and bore us to death. The only notable storyline centered around the infamous White House crashers - Michaele and Tareq Salahi. But even that wasn't intriguing enough to captivate our attention. And all the other "wives" didn't really have enough "drama" to keep us coming back for more. It's pretty safe to say neither of them will be missed. The Miami Housewives should definitely be on edge. Judging by the numbers, they most likey are next in line. Maybe it's time for the franchise to go across the pond...Real Housewives of London sounds pretty good to me.

Trendy Bits - Kelly Strikes Again

So, for those of you who are faithful to the Real Houswives series, you must have been left aghast by the disturbing but entertaining episode this past Thursday. The women minus Jill Zarin and The Countess were partying it up at on a luxurious yacht in St. John to kickoff the festivities marking Ramona Singer's "many" years of marriage to her Italian Stallion Mario. We all anticipated a drama filled episode especially with Kelly and Bethenny being in the mix. But nothing prepared us for the physical and mental breakdown that we witnessed. Kelly has been doing major damage control claiming she had a "breakthrough" as opposed to a breakdown but it is a liitle to late for major cleanups. Kelly accusing Bethenny of trying to kill her was when things really took a turn for the worse. Reality shows are far from the real deal but Kelly's psychosis was blindingly clear. Either she needs to seek a therapist ASAP or she is one gifted actress. Whatever the case I am hooked and will be devastated when this ride is over.

Trendy Buzz - TV Show Spotlight - 9 By Design

BRAVO has given us a boatload of shows to satisfy our Reality TV cravings, but 9 By Design has to be their most innovative serving yet. Bob and Courtney Novogratz plus their blossoming brood of 7 have to be the coolest family on the planet! It is actually quite entertaining watching this husband and wife duo flawlessly balance a chaotic home life and equally challenging business ventures. They are flippers, and that entails building incredible homes which they dwell in for a period of time and then put them on the market long enough to make a profit. For all you interior decorators at heart this will be a spectacle to behold. This designing team somehow makes living in New York with full amenities that some of us can only dream of seem within reach. But of course being worth millions can't hurt your chances. Their lifestyle is a combination of boho-chic and city-gypsy. Its the kind of stuff the 9 to 5 crowd daydream about while robotically tapping at their keyboards at work. Follow the Novogratz family on their new adventures every Tuesday at 1opm on BRAVO.

Fame! Puts You Where Things Are Hollow

So all you have to do is crash a formal dinner at the White House in order to complete your audition for a popular reality show franchise and of course score a paid TV appearance on one of the major morning network shows. Unfortunately we are now familiar with the faces of Tareq and Michaele Salahi. Those are not names that will necessarily inspire any casting director so I guess they did what any fame seeking loser couple would do - CRASH A STATE DINNER AT THE WHITE HOUSE. Never has the words to David Bowie's 80's hit FAME made more sense than now. It looks like America's "Most Uninvited Guests" are almost guaranteed to star in the newest installment of the Real Houswives series, which will be set in D.C. What a Shocker! They are reportedly under contract with BRAVO, the network reponsible for the Houswives. That explains why they chose NBC as the place to air their dirty laundry. NBC and BRAVO go hand in hand so doing one is like doing the other. They canceled their appearance on Larry King and fielded offers from ABC and CBS but the Salahis demanded to be paid a lot more than they were worth. An investigation is now under way to help solve the mystery of how they managed to swindle The Secret Service and smuggle themselves into an ultra exclusive event. It will be interesting to see how things unfold in the weeks to come. I for sure will be watching!
